Hettich, Biesse and Vauth-Sagel are amongst the winners in various International competitions and design awards during 2017 and 2018.
A Red Dot 2018 Design Award went to Hettich for their WingLine L folding sliding door fitting for new design prospects. The members of the Red Dot Award jury rated a record number of 6,300 products from 59 countries. The WingLine L folding-sliding door fitting is testimony to Hettich’s design skills, putting it among this year’s best in the industry. Whether in the wardrobe; alcoves or in the top mounted kitchen unit; WingLine L from Hettich is the folding sliding door system that impresses in all sorts of applications. The new “Push/Pull to Move” opening mechanism creates panorama effects, design flexibility and a high level of user convenience. The coveted “Product Design 2018” Red Dot Award is a seal of outstanding design quality that is respected the world over.
Staying with Hettich; their biggest production facility was awarded the German Industrial Building Prize for sustainable building in industrial and commercial construction. The Industrial Building Prize is about combining architectural design expertise with ecological, economic and social aspects. Hettich’s approaches to sustainability include the virtually self-supporting floor plan in primary energy optimised timber construction with its sustainable workplace qualities; ability to fall below the requirements of Germany’s Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) by more than 46 per cent; reduced impervious surface from the industrial building’s two storey design and use of waste heat from production covering up to 60 per cent of the energy needed for heating and hot water.

The long-established company has also recently won further renowned awards. VS ENVI Toolbox has won the internationally equally renowned iF Design Award and also an Iconic Award 2018 in the “Innovative Interior” category.
