The Silestone Loft series from Cosentino is a range of concrete-inspired surfaces that offer a striking take on the industrial look. It debuts in Australia with Brooklyn and Silver Lake, which have a tactile dimension.

The innovation behind this range is its raw texture. Replicating the look and feel of concrete, the surface combines subtle relief and a matte finish. And like concrete, Silestone Loft works in harmony with timber, traditional and contemporary materials while being the centrepiece of design.

Silestone is considered a new category of surface materials, made from up to 90% natural stone. Slabs are available in 1.2, 2 and 3-centimetre thicknesses, and jumbo-format slabs (320 by 158cm) allow for extra-large island benches without joints. The material is highly resistant to scratches, stains and heat, and all benchtops come with a 25-year warranty.

Silver Lake is a lighter-coloured surface with a white background superimposed with gentle gradations of grey. The unique and original colour captures the softer texture and elegance of concrete.

Brooklyn has an intense grey finish with random contrasts and effects. Designed to be the showpiece of a space, Brooklyn has steely, industrial character that highlights the raw and imperfect beauty of concrete.
