Bedding retailer Snooze announced its top franchise performers during its 40th anniversary award ceremony held in Fremantle.

Snooze Franchise Partners, Russell and Belinda Cooper from Snooze Capalaba (QLD) took out the top award for Retailer of the Year for the second time in four years. The team was awarded the prestigious accolade in recognition of their consistent delivery of excellence across all judging criteria – includingcustomer experience, customer satisfaction, commitment to staff development and profit performance.

Russell said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be awarded Snooze Retailer of the Year for the second time. Delivering a good financial return on investment is just one component of owning and running our business; the reward of being recognised again by our peers truly is the icing on the cake!”

Stones Corner (QLD), Gepps Cross (SA), Mandurah (WA) and Moore Park (NSW) ranked highly across the same categories and were recognised with the Snooze Excellence in Retailing award.

Snooze franchise partners were given the chance to nominate and celebrate their favourite supplier representative and did so when selecting their Representative of the Year – David Wyper, the Kingsdown supplier representative for NSW and WA who held the title from last year’s award ceremony.

Snooze Alexandria (NSW) franchise partner, Marthese Scott, converted the highest amount of sales in the 2014/2015 financial year, earning her award for Sales Person of the Year, and Greg and Leanne Belle of Stones Corner (QLD) received the Customer Experience Award for the second year running, as the best performing store across both mystery shopper results and customer satisfaction.

Suppliers were also praised, with Furniture Supplier of the Year awarded to G&G Furniture Imports and Mattress Supplier of the Year given to Sealy. Product specific awards were taken by Madison Times Square from Selectopedic for Product of the Year – Mattress, and Venus from Ever Design was recognised as Product of the Year – Furniture.

The award night was brought to life with a Ruby-themed Gala Dinner, in celebration of the business’ 40th Anniversary milestone. Gentlemen wore ruby coloured bow ties, and ladies wore pieces of ruby jewellery to celebrate the theme.
